Description
3R 720 packing is a firm, high density interlock braided packing manufactured from pure ePTFE filaments pretreated with PTFE dispersion, but contains no other lubricants. The PTFE dispersion provides a low friction surface finish and prevents leakage through the braid.
Applications
This packing is especially suited for oxygen service and other services where lubricants other than PTFE cannot be tolerated. 3R720 is commonly used in valves and lower shaft speed applications. It is resistant to most chemicals, aggressive fluids, gases and solvents, with the exception of molten alkali metals.
