Description
This spiral-wound gasket is made of a thin metallic srip on the exterior and a non metalic material on the interior. The two are wounded together under pressure. The metal ring holds the filler and acts as spring between the two flanges. This gasket possessesain excellent mechanical resistance and is resilient.
Applications
The W style gaskets are for applications with high temperature variations and/or pressure variations, and/or flange rotation problems. They are also used to seal in processes where fluid pressure is variable.
